4 simple questions that decide your pitching success
Issue #150
This issue is brought to you by 12 Days of Self-Care.
Happy December, travelpreneur!
I’m back after a short break from work. My baby girl’s surgery last week went well (thank you if you sent a message with well wishes - I’m still working through my emails 🙏). Yesterday, we celebrated my son’s 4th birthday (a diggers theme - even the cake 🎂). And today, my parents departed to start their journey back to Portugal.
So, now I’m back in your inbox with travel creator opportunities… ✨ Let’s get into it, shall we?
There’s a moment almost every creator hits—usually somewhere between drafting a pitch for the third time and refreshing their inbox like it owes them money—when you start wondering: “Is it me? Or is pitching just… broken?”
Here’s the truth most people never learn: It’s not you. It’s your process.
Pitching isn’t about sending more emails.
It’s about sending the right email to the right person, with the right angle and doing it in a way that makes their job easier, not harder.
So today, I want to give you something practical. Something that will immediately improve your pitches.
⭐ THE 10-MINUTE PRE-PITCH CHECK THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Before you pitch any brand, run through these four questions. Creators who use this consistently stop getting ghosted. Creators who skip it… send their pitches into the void.
1️⃣ What is the brand currently prioritizing?
Most creators pitch based on what they want. Brands respond based on what they need right now.
→ Check their recent posts, press releases, and last 3 campaigns. Your angle should connect to something they already care about.
If you can answer “why now?” — you’re already ahead of 80% of creators.
2️⃣ What problem does your content solve for them?
Brands don’t buy content. They buy outcomes.
✔ visibility
✔ UGC that converts
✔ storytelling to support a new product
✔ destination content to drive bookings
✔ video that fills a gap in their marketing
If you can articulate the business value of your content, you instantly become more pitchable.
3️⃣ Who is the actual decision-maker?
The fastest way to get ignored: emailing the wrong person.
The fastest way to get a “yes”: finding the PR/marketing partner who actually handles collabs.
Most creators skip this step because it feels tedious. But it’s the difference between a pitch that disappears and a pitch that gets forwarded internally with: “Can we work with them?”
4️⃣ What deliverables align with their goals?
Most creators send laundry-list deliverables. Strong creators send strategic deliverables.
Instead of: “3 Reels, 1 blog post, 1 TikTok, 1 carousel”
Try: “A Reel tailored to your fall campaign + a supporting carousel that answers the top questions your audience is already asking.”
Brands don’t want more deliverables. They want the right ones.
⭐ If you only do these four steps, your pitch game changes.
More replies.
More opportunities.
More confidence.
Less guesswork.
And yes, these four steps are the exact foundation behind the pitching tools and templates I’ve built over the past few years.
But even if you never use them, this framework alone will help you write pitches that feel aligned, intentional, and actually get opened.
⭐ A little surprise…
I wasn’t planning to do this, but Travel Tuesday felt like the perfect moment to give the people who missed my sales last week (and emailed me about it) one last chance:
✨ All deals are back for ONE DAY ONLY.
✨ Less than 20 hours left.
✨ Everything disappears at midnight tonight.
If you’ve wanted my pitching tools, templates, or the Sponsorship Studio — this is the quiet, blink-and-you-miss-it window to grab them.

Whether you grab a tool today or simply use the 4-step framework above…
I hope today’s email moves you one step closer to getting the “yes” you’ve been hoping for.
You deserve that momentum.
And you’re capable of so much more than you think.
~ Daniella ✨
