Hello, you wildly successful travelpreneur!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend (whether you celebrate or not). I actually took the entire weekend off - can you believe it?
Last week, we had the first office hours day for The Pitch Vault students and it was so much fun guiding more people through the pitching process.
Thank you to all those of you who joined me!
Thursday is the next office hours day and I’m so excited about it! I’m thinking of adding this as a bonus to all my offers in the future… It will definitely be part of the upcoming Pitch Alchemy course.
Anyway… I’m deep into finalizing everything for our Europe adventure next month. We’ll be traveling by train for the entire month - so if you have any blog posts/guides on train travel with kids/toddlers in Europe, please send me a link to them!
Now, let’s move on to…
Post Pandemic Pitching Tip #6 (PPPT#6)
Do you ever wonder if your carefully crafted emails are being buried under an avalanche of spam and promotions?
Are you tired of sending pitches into the abyss of an overflowing inbox?
Then, I want to let you in on one of my secret weapons for landing sponsorships with hotels: Send your pitches on Sundays!
I usually take weekends off, but during a pitch campaign, I make an exception and send my pitches on Sundays.
Why?
Because it puts you right at the top of the contact's inbox on Monday morning!
And let's be real, who doesn't check their emails on Monday morning?
By sending your pitch on Sunday, you'll be one of the first emails they see, making it harder to miss.
Plus, people are usually more motivated to tackle email-related tasks at the beginning of the week, so they'll be more likely to respond to your request.
I'm not saying you have to give up your precious weekend time, but it's a small sacrifice that can pay off big time.
I do all my preparation work during the week (a process I'll be teaching in my upcoming course, Pitch Alchemy) so all I have to do on Sunday is hit send.
It usually only takes an hour, and I get an excellent open and response rate with this strategy.
If you're not feeling the Sunday vibe, no worries.
Just make sure to send your pitches on a Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
As the week goes on, the open and response rate tends to decrease.
So, take advantage of the beginning of the week and get those pitches sent!
