Hey there, wildly successful travelpreneur!
We’re halfway through January already and I’m still easing my way into work again…
How about you?
Between Mars and Mercury in Retrograde 🪐 and stage 6 load shedding (9-11 hours of power cuts per day) in South Africa, it’s been tough to get any work done.
Plus, my parents are visiting for a few weeks before heading back to Portugal. So, it’s been kinda a slow start to the year.
And I’m okay with that.
In the past, I would’ve been stressed. I still am, sometimes. But a lot less than usual.
As an ambitious Capricorn ♑, it’s in my nature to constantly be striving. Working towards something. Hustling. Reaching the next metaphorical peak 🐐⛰️.
So, allowing myself to take it slowly has to be a conscious decision. One I have to keep choosing every time I find myself reverting back to old patterns. This slow January is a challenge for me but one I know I need.
To help me avoid burnout (again). To learn to rest. To lean into my feminine receiving energy instead of the masculine action energy. To find flow, creativity, and joy in my work instead of just seeing it as a means to make money.
That’s why I’m embracing it!
Tech issues and expected delays? No problem, I’ll finish that project later.
No power for the next few hours. Great, I’ll do some yoga and then play with my son or go for lunch with my parents.
Just like me, I’m sure you have many exciting plans for this year. And with everyone already launching their programs, landing clients, or raking in the moolah, it can be easy to feel like you’re behind.
But you’re not.
I’m not.
Rest is productive. Slow is still progress.
You’re exactly where you’re meant to be and wonderful things await you this year!
And in that spirit, the content for this week’s issue is a revised extension of one of the topics from last year - where to find travel affiliate programs.
I’m a big advocate for repurposing content, so I took the copy from that newsletter and then added to it and revised it for 2023.
